Film: More than a Trend
Saturday - 10:45 am

I met Jon and Callie Canlas at one of his workshops in Maine in 2013. From there, Callie approached me to photograph a cookbook she was working on. I flew to Hawaii to start that project and left with a job offer to be the new manager at theFINDlab. I was nervous to talk to my husband about it because it meant relocating. They offered me a job on a Saturday. I flew home to Utah on Sunday. Talked to my husband about it on Monday. We thought about it for a couple days. I quit my job on Wednesday. That Saturday we had a place to live and moved two weeks later. It was a crazy whirlwind but definitely a fun adventure every step of the way.

I've been a photographer for 7 years and managing theFINDlab for nearly 3 years.

Teaching! I have the opportunity to travel and present at workshops all over the world on behalf of theFINDlab.  I love to help attendees understand explore film photography and become comfortable with it. I find shooting film really liberating and love sharing that passion with others.  One of the most rewarding things is helping clients find their unique aesthetic and have their own lightbulb moment when they feel comfortable with the technical aspects and then embrace the creative side.

Personally, I am passionate about cooking and interior design (what I studied in college) I designed my kitchen to be the heart of my home. I reeeaally love food. It is my ultimate love language. I love to try new restaurants, cook and bake, I have become a serious cookbook hoarder. I am currently photographing a family cookbook which features 9 generations of cherished recipes handed down with love from generation to generation.

Instagram. Completely addicted.

You can most definitely find me in the kitchen trying something from my newest cookbook purchase and watching HGTV's Fixer Upper! I'm a huge Jojo fan. Hello #shiplap!
