Stormy Family Session at the Palm Springs Wind Farm

Stormy Family Session at the Palm Springs Wind Farm

With Jayme Ford

Come rain or shine, Jayme Ford of The Paper Deer Photography knows how to make photo magic. A normally sunshiny location - Palm Springs has 296 days of glorious blue skies each year - decided to turn stormy and Mother Nature brought the drama with a stunning cloudy sky backdrop during this family session at the Palm Spring Wind Farm - an iconic location featuring massive windmills juxtaposed against an impressive mountain range.

But the gloom of the skies is easily outshined by the genuine love and connection this sweet family brought. Rocking a one-of-a-kind Boho vintage lace dress by Reclamation Design, momma Erin Neary radiates maternal joy while surrounded by her husband and two darling children. And that image of their daughter hiding her head under Dad’s shirt? To die for!

During this Native Shoot, an add-on to the 2019 Photo Native conference, attendees were able to observe and learn from Jayme Ford as she masterfully demonstrated how she captures genuine connections in a creative and artistic way during the chaos and unpredictability of a family session. All the way from Canada, Jayme demonstrated her best tips and tricks for consistently making images that evoke feelings of love and connection including various, specific prompts she uses in her sessions
