Are you going to feed me?

We’ll feed your mind and photographer’s heart and soul…and your belly, too. We will have a complimentary light breakfast both mornings and hors d'oeuvres during our Thursday opening social and Friday night party. The Utah Valley Convention Center is conveniently located within walking distance of several of Provo's best dining options for lunch and dinner.

What's the difference between the Opening Native Social and the party?

The Native Social will take place on Thursday, January 18th from 4pm-6pm at the Convention Center. This is when you'll be able to check-in, receive your badge and swag, and then hang for some food, music, chatting with vendors, and obviously a photo booth of some kind.

The party will be on Friday night, January 19th at the Convention Center. More details to come but just know that it'll be a GOOD time.

What is a Native Shoot?

At Photo Native, we're offering a variety of intimate shooting experiences. These shoots are more than just a chance to pad a pretty portfolio, but an opportunity to learn the method behind how some of your favorite photographers work their magic. There are a large variety of shoots available to register for including wedding, family, commercial, and creative/conceptual!

The shoot will start with instruction time followed by a chance to observe the instructor demonstrate what was just taught. You will then get a turn to implement what you learned and leave with some incredible images. The shoots will be styled beautifully and feature some of the industry's most talented and sought-after vendors. Each Native Shoot is approximately 3 hours long with starting time and locations to be announced later.

In order to keep these shooting and learning experiences beneficial, each shoot will max out at 10 people and are limited to one shoot maximum per attendee.

Each of the Native Shoots will be held on Thursday, January 18.

May I sign up for more than one Native Shoot?

Due to the logistics of times and locations, and to allow as many people as possible to participate in a shoot, attendees are limited to no more than one shoot per person. Because shoots are sold on a first-come first-served basis, it is likely that not every attendee will be able to participate in a shoot.

What is a Native Dinner?

One of the very best parts about having a community of like-minded photography buds is getting together, talking shop, and eating good, good food. Are we right?! At Photo Native, we are so pumped to be able to recreate this experience for our attendees.

Each of the Native Dinners will be held on the evening of January 18th and will be "hosted" by one of our incredible instructors at some fabulous local restaurants. Dinners are limited to a max of 7 people each.

Can I pay half now and half later?

One of our main goals here at Photo Native is to not only create an inclusive community of artists and provide unrivaled educational opportunities but also to make it an affordable experience for as many people as possible.

So, yes, you can absolutely pay half now and half later. The first 50% is due upon sign-up and the remaining 50% is due 60 days before the conference.

Where should I stay during the conference?

If you’re coming in from out of town, let us be the first to welcome you to Utah! If you're local and want to turn this into a stay-cation learning extravaganza, we’re thrilled to have you.
