When and where is Photo Native?

Photo Native 2019 is February 11th-13th, 2019 at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs, California. 

 

How much does it cost to attend?

From March 1st-July 1st, you can purchase an early-bird Class Pass for $550 (normally $750).  Your Class Pass includes swag, provided snacks and beverages during the conference, access to the Native Social, keynotes, both days of classes, and the party. Native Shoots, Business Boost classes, and other add-ons will be available for purchase as well beginning this fall. You must purchase a Class Pass in order to be eligible to reserve your spot at a Native Shoot/Native Dinner/Business Boost. 

 

When and how can I register?

Registration opens March 1, 2018. Look for the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner of this site to purchase your pass. There is a limited quantity of Class Passes available.

What kind of topics do the classes at Photo Native cover?

When selecting class topics and teachers for Photo Native, we strive to have each class fall into one of three main categories: Creativity, Technical Skills, and Business/Marketing. We call it the Trifecta of Awesomeness and are stoked to be able to offer a wide variety of classes within each category. Come to Photo Native and challenge your creativity, hone in on your technical skills, and expand your business/marketing methods all within one incredible conference experience. Make new friends, connect personally with your favorite instructors, and walk away with all the photo ninja skills you need to take over the world.

 

So what do I get for my money?

Photo Native features carefully chosen photographers and industry professionals from around the country. Each Class Pass includes access to the opening social, your choice of all classes offered, learning from our inspiring keynote speakers, swag, snacks and drinks, and attendance at what we promise will be the greatest party ever. You’ll be able to make invaluable connections and gain the skills you need to increase your abilities and grow your business.  

 

What's your refund policy?

Life happens. We get it! Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred for a small fee ($50) until November 11, 2018. If you need to transfer after November 11, 2018, the fee is $100. There will be no transfers after January 11, 2019. 

 

Are you going to feed me?

We’ll feed your mind and photographer’s heart and soul … and your belly, too. We will keep you fed and hydrated with light snacks and drinks throughout the day. 

 

What is a Native Shoot?

Native Shoot starting times, locations, and styling will be announced this fall.

At Photo Native, we're offering a variety of intimate shooting experiences. These shoots are more than just a chance to pad a pretty portfolio, but an opportunity to learn the method behind how some of your favorite photographers work their magic. 

The shoot will start with instruction time followed by a chance to observe the instructor demonstrate what was just taught. You will then get a turn to implement what you learned and leave with some incredible images. The shoots will be styled beautifully, feature some of the industry's most talented and sought-after vendors, and will be held at a wide variety of rad locations throughout Palm Springs and the surrounding area.

In order to keep these shooting and learning experiences beneficial, each shoot will max out at 10 people.

 

Can I pay half now and half later?

One of our main goals here at Photo Native is to not only create an inclusive community of artists and provide unrivaled educational opportunities but also to make it an affordable experience for as many people as possible.

So, yes, you can absolutely pay half now and half later. The first 50% is due upon sign-up and the remaining 50% is due 60 days before the conference.

 

Where should I stay during the conference?

If you’re coming in from out of town, let us be the first to welcome you to Palm Springs! If you're a local and want to turn this into a stay-cation learning extravaganza, we’re thrilled to have you. We have a secured a special group rate starting at $159/night for Photo Native attendees at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club, right where Photo Native is taking place. Reservations can be made by giving Ace a call and mentioning you want in on the Photo Native group rate.

Will I get to hang out with my favorite Photo Native instructor?

Absolutely! You belong. You will not only learn from our instructors but have lots of chances to chat with them, network, discuss collaborations, and party together all night long! We can't wait to meet and get to know you.

So glad you asked! Our Facebook group is a wonderful community of both past and future attendees that we'd love to have you join. Make connections, ask questions, get important PN updates, exclusive offers, and more! 

 

 

Can I teach at Photo Native?

How cool would that be?! We are currently accepting applications for our 2019 lineup through April 1st and would love to have you apply! If you are selected to be on the 2019 lineup, your ticket will be refunded.
