I’ve been an artist since birth. I was never without pencil and paper.
Growing up, I remember getting frustrated in art classes because I could not get my portraits to look as perfect as what I saw in my head. I would get close, but something was always missing. While choosing art classes in High School one year I decided to take a photography class just for fun. What was supposed to be a diversion turned into an insane, all consuming passion. Alongside that passion was a deep interest and love for the world of fashion. I gained inspiration from the movement, colors and shapes. Those two passions came together, and by age 18 I’d started a photography business.
After about two years in my business suddenly exploded and since then it has been rapidly growing. I now have 2 photographers working under me and a whole team behind the scenes. I am a mother to two little girls and am still figuring out the perfect balance between this full time career and full time mom. I travel, ALOT. But I'm also at home with my babies blowing bubbles and coloring with chalk ALOT. Somehow it has worked. People used to tell me I had to choose between my dream job and being a mom and I think I've proved them all wrong now.
Fashion is obviously my jam, but I bring a fashion edge into every shoot I do. Weddings, commercial, seniors, families you name it–I add a mixture of editorial style with some fashion flare to all my shoots. I think in the end thats what sets me most apart.
I’ve shot all around the world. California, Portland, North Carolina, Chicago, NYC, Guatemala, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Italy this December for clothing lines and for weddings.
I look for and see light EVERYWHERE. Sometimes it drives me nuts. There’s never a minute where I’m not thinking about or planning photographs. It consumes me…after almost ten years, I’m still obsessed.
I live for this.
