How to Effectively Tell a Story Through Your Work with Video
Friday - 2:45 pm
Strong connections and story are at the heart of what I love about my profession. My passion for film and storytelling started early with a few video classes in High School, they were about the only ones I wouldn't skip out on actually. I liked the challenge of making someone feel something for the films I would create. I actually started out shooting extreme sports type events (rock crawling, mtn biking, etc.) from there went on to weddings and crafted my style and passion for storytelling. I believe every wedding is different and there is a story to be told. My films are very much content driven and meaningful. Although I reside in Utah my client base reaches all of the country and beyond. My greatest joys are my wife and kids and living life to the fullest. Life is short and meant to be enjoyed.
This year marks 13 years in the filmmaking industry and I still have the same passion and enthusiasm as the day I started. I look forward to that next story and couple or client I get to meet and share something with. In five years I see myself on the same path of story telling and discovery in my profession. Hopefully continually learning, evolving and pushing myself in my craft to tell stories. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I do and I hope to see that continue for years to come.
MY SUPER POWER WOULD BE
Teleportation for sure. Skipping all of the lines, waiting, traffic, airlines and frustration of travel. Just thinking of somewhere I want to be and then being there would be amazing.
WHEN I'M NOT WORKING YOU CAN FIND ME
At the movie theatre with my girls checking out the newest kids movie. It's one of my kids favorite things we do together and I happily oblige.
