FRIDAY 9:15-10:30 PM
Dallas Clayton is a kids book author, illustrator, muralist, philanthropist, and touring public speaker for both kids and adults. He started his career self-releasing “An Awesome Book,” a story encouraging kids to dream big, and was hailed “the new Dr. Suess.” The success of this book inspired a series of Awesome Books, along with “It’s Never Too Late,” a kids book written for adults about not giving up on your dreams, and his first character driven animated series, Lily the Unicorn, produced by the Jim Henson Company. His works have been translated into over twenty languages, and his powerful words and unique drawings have inspired millions.
His keynote speech will not only share his message to DREAM BIG but also shares his own personal stories of a life searching for unconventional forms of joy.
SATURDAY 4:45-6:00 PM
In her closing keynote address, Joy will explore ways in which photography can be a powerful tool of healing. Discover means of finding beauty in the darkness, both in ourselves through the act of self-portraiture, and for our clients as we join alongside them in the grieving process. Learn how to pay attention and be ready for highly emotional photographic moments as well as the gracious balance of being both present and intentional as the photographer while also not influencing the moment observed. The world desperately needs your unique perspective and artistry; Joy is ready to tell you why YOU and YOUR work are so, so vital.
