Styled Wedding Shoot

We got in to photography on our first anniversary.  We are originally from Northern Arizona and love the southwest landscape.  One of our goals had always been to row up a local canyon and document it through photos.  We took a 35mm film camera with a few rolls of film and set out.  We enjoyed the red rock cliffs and the cool water as we made our way to a log jam that we were able to get out and walk around on when suddenly the sky started to blacken and a monsoon rainstorm was quickly upon us.  We rushed back to the boat and rowed back as fast as we could, only being able to see the way by the constant lightning flashing all around us.  When we arrived back to our truck, water was pouring into the canyon which would soon be flooded.  We made it out just in time.  The next day we were so excited to see the photos, we took them to the nearest lab and got them rushed with proofs.  Seeing these small images and reliving the day frame by frame brought back so much excitement that we quickly got another camera and changed our degree majors to Fine Art Photography which eventually led to us photographing weddings and portraits.  Ten years later we still love taking couples out to dramatic landscapes and documenting their love for each other in a beautiful natural setting.

A lot of big changes have happened to us in the past year which has also got us wanting to change up some things within our business.  We are working towards opening a studio where we can create portraits and art with a full working darkroom and lots of printed goods to enjoy.

Being able to do what we love together.  Meeting young couples in love and taking them to a beautiful landscape to document their love, brings us back to when we got started in photography. We love to give our clients a set of small proofs so they can relive the day through tangible images.  We love being able to share printed goods that people can enjoy for generations.

You can probably find us outdoors. The desert will always hold a place in our hearts but we are enjoying our new home in the mountains.  Of course our cameras always come along.  If we aren't kayaking, hiking, mountain biking or camping, we are in the darkroom creating art to hang in our home.
